About the Role

The Operations Research Analyst will join the DFT Research team in Pittsburgh to build and continue to elevate a best-in-class OSINT research program for our diverse client needs.

• The Analyst will have primary responsibility for collecting and analyzing data, maintaining and constantly elevating the quality of our data, and working with the DFT leadership in Research & Analysis Division to present data in a compelling way
• The Operations Research Analyst will assist in tracking and analyzing all aspects of specific project will leverage that knowledge proactively for research products, client projects and business development efforts
• Collect and analyze open source data, including data on political, military, economic, social, infrastructural, and informational elements of a region or organization
• Follow established processes to ensure data excellence within our database, and regularly audit and refine datasets
• Analyze open-source data to identify trends and understand issue and contextual drivers

Requirements

  • Willing to train for the right candidate, must possess a entrepreneurial mindset and desire to learn

  • 1 - 3 years of experience or education in Data Analytics, Intelligence Analysis, or Information Operations

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g. computer science, data science, political science, behavioral science, national security, intelligence)

  • Manage, track and maintain completed projects in a Google Projects

  • Demonstrate expert proficiency in data collection, data analytics, policy analysis, and OSINT research

  • Demonstrate proficiency in analysis and data exploitation of various sources of information

  • Demonstrated good oral and written communications skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment

  • Preferred background and certifications in computer coding languages

  • Preferred background in supporting US Government, Military, or Intelligence Community OSINT and IO work

  • The production process may also require use of other tools including: Adobe Illustrator, Google Projects, Microsoft Office, and CANVA
