About the Role
The Operations Research Analyst will join the DFT Research team in Pittsburgh to build and continue to elevate a best-in-class OSINT research program for our diverse client needs.
• The Analyst will have primary responsibility for collecting and analyzing data, maintaining and constantly elevating the quality of our data, and working with the DFT leadership in Research & Analysis Division to present data in a compelling way
• The Operations Research Analyst will assist in tracking and analyzing all aspects of specific project will leverage that knowledge proactively for research products, client projects and business development efforts
• Collect and analyze open source data, including data on political, military, economic, social, infrastructural, and informational elements of a region or organization
• Follow established processes to ensure data excellence within our database, and regularly audit and refine datasets
• Analyze open-source data to identify trends and understand issue and contextual drivers
Requirements
Willing to train for the right candidate, must possess a entrepreneurial mindset and desire to learn
1 - 3 years of experience or education in Data Analytics, Intelligence Analysis, or Information Operations
Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g. computer science, data science, political science, behavioral science, national security, intelligence)
Manage, track and maintain completed projects in a Google Projects
Demonstrate expert proficiency in data collection, data analytics, policy analysis, and OSINT research
Demonstrate proficiency in analysis and data exploitation of various sources of information
Demonstrated good oral and written communications skills
Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment
Preferred background and certifications in computer coding languages
Preferred background in supporting US Government, Military, or Intelligence Community OSINT and IO work
The production process may also require use of other tools including: Adobe Illustrator, Google Projects, Microsoft Office, and CANVA
