About the Role

The GEOINT Analyst will join the DFT Research team in Pittsburgh to build and continue to elevate a best-in-class GEOINT Technical Services program for our diverse client needs.

• The Analyst will have primary responsibility for collecting and analyzing data, maintaining and constantly elevating the quality of our data, and working with the DFT leadership in the Technical Services Division to present data in a compelling way
• The Analyst will assist in tracking and analyzing all aspects of specific project will leverage that knowledge proactively for research products, client projects and business development efforts
• Collect and analyze open source data, including data from various satellite-based platforms and tools for decision support to infrastructural and technology deployment in CONUS and OCONUS locations
• Follow established processes to ensure data excellence within our database, and regularly audit and refine datasets
• Analyze open-source data to identify risks and opportunities for customer business value

Requirements

  • Willing to train for the right candidate, must possess a entrepreneurial mindset and desire to learn

  • 1 - 3 years of experience or education in Geospatial Analytics

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g. computer science, data science, geological science, topographical science, national security, intelligence)

  • Manage, track and maintain completed projects in a Google Projects Geodatabase

  • Demonstrate expert proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, ESRI, Google Maps)

  • Demonstrate proficiency in analysis and data exploitation of various Geospatial imagery assets (e.g. LIDAR imagery)

  • Demonstrated good oral and written communications skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment

  • Preferred background and certifications in computer coding languages

  • Preferred background in supporting US Government, Military, or Intelligence Community GEOINT work

  • The production process may also require use of other tools including: Adobe Illustrator, Google Earth, Microsoft Office, and CANVA
